Let me help you make your next move!
Hello. I'm Tom Noble. Welcome to my web site. I'm a lawyer, certified financial planner, mediator, negotiator, and chess player. I spend most of my time helping people with family law cases and estate planning. That means a steady diet of divorce cases, custody disputes, child support problems, wills, and trusts. While most family lawyers build a practice by going to court, I have chosen instead to develop my skills as a mediator and negotiator. Most of my clients want to stay out of court. I consider myself a "settlement specialist". I have settled hundreds of family law cases in the Dallas and North Texas area, and I have worked with lawyers and parties in other states to assist them in negotiations.
Through the years, I have written a number of papers on negotiation, mediation, and the divorce process, which you will find on this site. Anticipating Divorce is a divorce primer the purpose of which is to give divorcing parties a better understanding of the divorce process in Texas. Those interested in more detail can review my case summaries. Several articles discuss mediation and negotiation, the most comprehensive of which is Improving Negotiation Skills: Rules for Master Negotiators. Periodically, I publish a newsletter, which is also posted to this site and, some tell me, irregularly humorous.
Resolving family law disputes is much like a game of chess. A skilled player knows how to evaluate a position, when to attack, and when to defend. I have 25 years of experience. Call me or email me for a free consultation.
